Job Description:

Infosys is seeking a Principal SAP GTS Enterprise Applications Consultant

As a Principal Enterprise Applications consultant, you will be an expert contributing to different phases of the consulting lifecycle. You will be intensely involved in business process consulting; you will define the problem, propose and create the solution. You will also play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution. You will guide teams on project processes, deliverables and contribute to the proposal development, client training and internal capability building and help detail the project scope. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.


• At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology.


• Location for this position is Lisle, IL. This position may require travel and/or relocation.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 11 Years of experience in SAP GTS preferably with SAP S4 experience.
• Experience in end-to-end SAP GTS implementations / rollout projects.
• Should posses good Team Leading and Mentoring Skills
• In-depth knowledge of the solution architecture, the application design, and the provision of SAP processes as well as the product functions and limitations of SAP-GTS
• Experience in solution design, configuration and WRICEF design, Expert in GTS Configuration, Export /Import Compliance, SPL/Embargo, License Determination, classification, Customs Export, import process, trade Documentation. Successful cooperation with the customer's departments, a good understanding of business processes and support in creating technical requirements documents.
• Ability to work with international team environment - Interface (inbound and outbound) to middle ware systems. IDOC interface knowledge, EDI interface for customs communications.
• Proposes the selected IS solution and implementation back to the business for final approval (Show & tell sessions)
• Provides application module expertise
• Creates the Business Blueprint (BBP) - detailed process design and mapping to solutions, based on design from the IS BA, and contributes to the effort estimation
• Performs final validation of solution (SIT) before submission to requester to run the User Acceptance Test
• Support the Run organization in the incident and problem resolution
• Expert in GTS Configuration, Export /Import Compliance, SPL/Embargo, License Determination, classification, Customs Export, import process, trade Documentation.
• Analytical skills in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and problem solving.
• Successful cooperation with the customer's departments, a good understanding of business processes and support in creating the technical requirements documents.
• Experience in implementation of EAR Regulation, US Re-Export process, FTZ's.
• Implementation experience in US Import & Export (AES filing), broker interface, USMCA FTA.
• Experience working in interactive smart forms, Adobe forms, LTVD's
• Design of functionality based on customer requirements, creation of functional documents, coordination with the customer for approval of the same.
• Facilitation of integration and user acceptance tests. Review of the test results together with the customer.
• Ensure that the design, build, and test results meet customer standards and guidelines.
• Attend business meetings and record requirements and identify GAPs. Execution of high- and low-level design, provision of pseudo-codes, implementation of prototypes and execution of design reviews.
• Manage Senior Client Product Owners in Solution Designing and Reporting Global Deliverables Status and Planning.
• Prepare Weekly Status Reporting and present during Client Program Status Meeting and Daily Core Review meetings.
• Knowledge in creating the functional design documents based on the business process requirements.
• Provision of contributions to the solution architecture based on assessment / understanding of solution alternatives, frameworks, and products.
• Preparation of project status reports including risk assessment and risk reduction plans.
• Cutover, go-live and post-go-live problems support.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
