Senior Accountant - Nonprofit


Direct hire opportunity in Middletown, CT


$75,000-$85,000 annually


Monday - Friday 8:30-4:30 (hybrid, 1 day remote)


What you'll do...


- Assist with the monthly financial close and audits


- Responsible for revenue recognition, budgeting and reporting


- Manage accounting transactions, general ledger analysis, and reconciliations


- Provide backup support for payroll


- Assist with preparation of grant schedule required for State and Federal audit reporting


What you'll need...


- Experience working in the nonprofit sector including grant reporting with Federal and/or State grants


- B.S. in Accounting preferred


- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and SharePoint (MIP accounting software a plus)


- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
