Reporting to the VP, Product Management - Modern Retail, this product management leader is critical as CDK continues our focus on delivering exceptional experiences for our customers. The Director, Product Management - CRM bridges the gap between customer needs, business strategies, and development and improvement of CDK's CRM system.
This leader owns the product strategy and long-term success of one of the largest CRMs in the automotive space. Responsible for almost half of the new vehicle transactions in the US, this product leader will be at the helm of making strategic decisions for one of the most important applications in both the dealership's operations and the consumer's transaction.
The Director, Product Management - CRM is a strategic leader who ensures the CRM serves the current and future needs of both the business and customers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (not limited to):
Defines and clearly articulates long-term (1-3 year) CRM Product Strategy and Vision, ensuring alignment with CDK's overall goals and adaptation to market trends
Understands customer needs through data analysis and customer feedback, ultimately gaining insights into what customers want/need and translate those needs into actionable product enhancements
Collaborates across the organization, fostering strong relationships with key leaders and teams such product marketing, sales, produce management peer teams, and product engineering, guaranteeing a unified approach to customer engagement
Optimizes CRM through oversight of implementation and management, ensuring its functions smoothly and integrates with other products
Leverages data analytics to identify customer behavior patterns and trends, using insights to improve customer satisfaction and engagement
Translates CRM's impact on business metrics, using clear data to showcase how the CRM contributes to the company's success, while fostering buy-in from others
Tracks key performance indicators, measuring effectiveness of CRM product
Stays current on industry trends and best practices while sharing knowledge with key stakeholders
Identifies integration needs through having a thorough understanding of user workflows
Analyzes data usage patterns to pinpoint areas where information may be stuck in silos across different product solutions, while collaborating across other product leaders to assist with bridging gaps and creating a more holistic experience for the customer
Understands APIs and data standards, and collaborates with others across the organization, to improve integration and experience for the customer
Required Qualifications and Attributes:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business, Engineering or equivalent professional experience
10+ years of product management and/or relevant experience in Enterprise SaaS, full product lifecycle management
Must have experience leading and managing larger, globally distributed teams
Proven success as a user-focused and data-driven product leader; Ability to make decisions based on understanding how people use the product based on qualitative and quantitative outputs
Excellent critical thinking skills; ability to make decisions in dynamic environment
Exceptional written proficiency and a highly articulate communicator with ability to confidently communicate and present complex ideas
Thrives in collaborative, cross-functional environment
Proven track record of financial acumen
Highly motivated 'go-getter' driven to achieve business results with the ability to remain positive & focused on delivering customer outcomes
Experience in mentoring & growing product management expertise in teams using standard industry frameworks
Track record in incubating new initiatives with successful product launches delivering market share growth
Experience in driving partnerships & non-organic growth
Must be open to travel up to 25% of time
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (i.e.: MBA, Masters in Computer Science, or Engineering)
Automotive industry
Pragmatic Product Management Certified or strong foundational knowledge
Base Salary Ranges: $190,000 - $230,000
