Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Occupational Health Nurse / Industrial Nurse


Position type: Full-Time, Contract

Duration: 6 Month

Location:
Columbia, SC

Shift: 2nd Shift M-F


As an Occupational Health Nurse / Industrial Nurse, you will:

• Treats and provides professional nursing care to employees or people who become ill or injured on premises.

MUST HAVE:

• Would need someone that has some experience in ER or occ health.
• Must have excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, capable to coordinate, detect, diagnose, evaluate, inspect, and observe.
• Ability to work under time pressure and customer services oriented is required.
• Physical requirements of this position include light work that requires physical and mental strength.
• Have to be comfortable working on their own.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Requires RN license and certification in Occupational Health.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promotes and maintains the highest degree of physical, mental and social wellbeing of employees in the workplace, and ensures compliance with applicable health regulations, for example, treatment of work related injuries/illnesses; organizing first aid and emergency treatment; medical monitoring/surveillance; Injury/illness case management or managing workers compensation (or equivalent).
• Assess and treat workplace injuries.

If needed:

• Refer to doctor.
• Refer to the therapist.
• Call EMS
• Assess and treat personal injuries.

If needed:

• Instruct to follow up with personal doctor.
• Call EMS.
• Refer to the therapist.
• Complete appropriate paperwork for both.

Medical records:

• Filing.
• Make new charts.
• Monthly and weekly inspections.
• Annual renewals.
• Weekly BBS audit.
• Workman's compensation filing.
• Emails to leadership on workplace injuries.
• Follow up of injuries.
• Respond to injuries.
• Meetings with 1st responders on 2nd and 3rd shift and manage.
• Gym Access paperwork.
• Drug and Alcohol Testing.
• Hearing testing schedule.
• Respiratory testing

The ideal candidate will have: Registration or License in Nursing and occupational Health expereince.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $40 - 44 per Hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
