Overview



i3 is seeking an Android and Microcontroller Software Developer that will help the S3I Army Interoperability Lab (SAIL) develop prototype software for Android applications, plugins and write code of Arduino based micro controllers. Preferred candidates will have a strong understanding in programming fundamentals and troubleshooting skills. Additionally knowledge in Visual Studio/Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, or other major integrated development environment (IDE). Software Developers should be capable of learning new frameworks, languages, and development environments. This is a fast paced, exciting, position, with exposure to the latest Army capabilities. The tools developed will help inform the Army and Joint community of the next generation capabilities to develop. This is an on-site position located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Develop software prototype solutions that support current and long lasting projects developed at S3I for testing, demonstration and lab tools.
• Capable of rapidly troubleshooting and developing tools for S3I demonstrations and test.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. Additional experience may substitute for degree.
• 2+ years in Software Development or similar experience preferred.
• Knowledge of:
  • C#, C, or C++
  • Java
  • Kotlin
  • Python/Bash/Batch
  
  
• One or more of the additional skills preferred
  • .Net Web Application Experience
  • Experience with Vanilla JavaScript/JQuery/ or React
  • Microsoft Azure Experience
  • TCP/IP enabled software development
  • Bluetooth/Wi-Fi Software Interface
  • Cursor on Target Development Experience
  • Google/Android protocol buffer knowledge
  • ATAK knowledge
  • React - JavaScript Libraries
  
  
• Active DoD secret security clearance highly preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
