Position Summary: Responsible for identification, interpretation, and documentation of business unit requirements associated with financial applications. These requirements will be used by internal or vendor programming personnel as a vehicle to design and develop enhancements. Project management involvement with portfolio acquisitions and systems conversions are included. Some international travel is a possibility.
Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:
Understanding user needs, determining scope and boundaries of projects, and recommendations for prioritization based on cost/benefit analysis, and converting business operations requirements into project requirements documents used for developing system enhancements
Coordinate with business units to identify and communicate user needs to information systems personnel
Provide project management support to facilitate smooth integration of operational and financial systems functionality
Assist in developing, unit testing, regression testing, functional testing, and User Acceptance Testing for numerous high priority projects or enhancements to internal systems
Work closely with business units to identify and document existing usage of various databases, work to achieve common usage and functionality for planned database consolidations
Interface with vendors and business units on financial systems upgrades
Develop ad hoc reports as needed to support business user reporting needs
Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications
Requirements:
The individual must have a minimum of five years experience in an automated, full-service financial services operations environment. The qualifications profile should contain the following skills or attributes:
Exhibited personal integrity, ethics and initiative
BS/BA in Business or Finance preferred or equivalent business experience
Working knowledge of project management, demonstrated time management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; logical, critical thinker with the ability to think beyond existing business paradigms
Effective written and oral communication skills
General accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
Effort: Schedule 8am - 5pm CST, some overtime as needed, some travel.
Working Environment: Normal office environment
