ABOUT THE JOB:
The AutoCAD operator tasks are to create or edit technical drawings based on given specifications and calculations provided by the Engineering Department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Draft and design new and existing products.
Support sales staff with submittal and production drawings.
Operates computer-aided design (CAD) system
Confers with engineering to define design modifications
Keys in specified information to produce graphic representation hard copy of the design for review as well as approval by engineering staff
Enters specified information into a computer, using a keyboard, to generate approved design
Assist with project work as directed by Department Manager
Comply with all ParkUSA policies, procedures and guidelines
Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Strong administrative and organizational skills with an attention to detail
Must have the ability to create and modify drawings under strict timelines
Accuracy in data entry
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have a high mathematic and logical aptitude, especially with fractions and decimals as a unit of measure
Must be familiar with Millimeters and Inches as a unit of measure
Must be highly detail-oriented and can solve problems with little guidance
Strong customer service skills, organizational skills,
Ability to work effectively as a team member, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Ability to self-manage and multitask
Ability to learn new programs
Possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or equivalent
1+ years related experience with the ability to read & understand drawings and sketches and incorporate the information onto a software program used in the fabrication
Construction Industry preferred
