What will you be doing?



The Project Manager will play a pivotal role driving projects that have material impact on the global IRi organization and its vision to transform the way Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Food, Drug and Mass Merchant (FDM) retailers do business. Technology is central to this transformation and as the transformation accelerates so does the need to grow IRi's Project Management Organization (PMO). Continued development of the Liquid Data is central to our continued growth.


The successful candidate will be a highly skilled Project Manager who is comfortable working as an individual contributor. He/she will be experienced driving multiple concurrent projects leveraging multiple business units/functions with both on-shore and off-shore resources/teams. The Project Manager will work on complex and multi-faceted projects. He/she will have to place projects within a manageable scope; identify key business issues and questions to be addressed; assure all open items are addressed and demonstrate a high degree of social and political IQ when synthesizing a single strategy from multiple viewpoints.


While activities will vary and evolve, the Project Manager can expect to spend 80% of their time coordinating and leading projects. The remaining 20% will be allocated to developing and executing impactful project communication within the PMO team and with all stakeholders up to the level of CEO.



Requirements



  • Five or more years of software-oriented project management experience in one or more of the settings below:

o Financial services


o Software company (retail-oriented software company preferred)


o Market research supplier with a defined software offering


  • Expert user of Microsoft Project

  • Other Project Management software experience (IE Monday.com) is a plus

  • PMP certification

  • A flexible approach to communication; able to adapt their message quickly to the appropriate level or function with poise and polish. A history of strong performance at the C-level is a plus

  • Self-motivated; a healthy sense of impatience

  • Proven skills to thrive and drive project results in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment; comfort/confidence making decisions with 70% of the facts in-hand

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical issues in a concise and polished manner to a diverse audience

  • Ideally, reside in or be willing to relocate to Chicago, Illinois or vicinity

  • Experience with client facing projects

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. An advanced degree is a plus
