The Clemson University Department of Performing Arts seeks applicants for the position of part-time Lecturer in Voice. Duties will begin August 15, 2024.
Responsibilities include providing private lessons for major and non-major applied voice students. Salary: $400/each voice major and $265/each voice non-major student per semester, dependent on student enrollment. Performances opportunities may arise, for which additional compensation could be negotiated.
The Performing Arts degree at Clemson University is a nationally distinctive degree that integrates the technology, performance, production, theory, and history of the performing arts into a unified program of study that prepares students for careers in many aspects of the arts including theatre, music and audio technology. The Department of Performing Arts occupies the Robert Howell Brooks Center for the Performing Arts. The Brooks Center is an 87,000 square foot educational/performance building that includes classrooms, rehearsal halls, offices, and supporting spaces.
Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Music, Voice. Teaching experience at the secondary or college level is preferred.
