Med-Ophthalmology - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (24004201)

The University of Pittsburgh (Department of Ophthalmology; Fuller Lab) is seeking a postdoctoral associate to conduct research relating to the pathogenesis of fungal infections.

• Duties or Responsibilities: This position will involve the conceptual development of research inquiries, designing and performing experiments (related to microbiology, molecular biology, immunology and pathology), analyzing the results and preparing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Postdocs will also be engaged in mentoring junior members of the lab, presenting their work at national/international conferences, and writing funding applications.

• Expectations or Qualifications: Qualified applicants will have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree with relevant research experience in the areas of microbiology, molecular cell biology, immunology or a related field.

• Opportunities Available: Travel funds for 1 national conference and/or relevant training workshop per year.
