The Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute in the Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh has an immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Associate. The Department of Surgery’s dedication to excellence in research drives our commitment to seek out and train the best of the next generation of biomedical scientists. We are interested in recruiting an MD and/or Ph.D. candidate in immunology or other relevant disciplines.

The Postdoctoral Associate will work on research testing whether novel strategies that augment innate or adaptive immune cells can be used to prevent organ transplant rejection and reduce dependence on anti-rejection drugs in pre-clinical animal models. Experience working with surgical procedures and cellular and molecular immunology techniques such as flow cytometry is preferred.
