Job Description:

Highland Community College fosters student success and retention through athletics, innovative programs, and supportive services. We empower our students to achieve their academic and personal goals while participating in intercollegiate athletics. We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as Director, Athletics and Physical Education, who will provide direction and leadership for the Athletics and Physical Education areas of the College. The successful candidate will organize, develop, supervise, and evaluate athletic and physical education programs and facilities; manage a team of staff and coaches; manage game day activities for intercollegiate teams; develop class schedules; make teaching assignments; and efficiently distribute teaching loads for physical education courses.

The qualified individual will work collaboratively with coaching staff and College departments to ensure effective recruitment, advisement, and academic and other supports for student athletes. Potential candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience teaching and coaching in the Physical Education field. Valid Driver’s License required. CPR, AED and First Aid Certification required within one year of hire.
