As a Senior Supervisor Manufacturing Engineering, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Lead the activities of manufacturing engineers responsible for driving PSD growth and Continuous Improvement in a Lean Manufacturing environment.  


• Collaborate within broad portfolio groups across product development laboratory, quality, product maintenance, sales, manufacturing, and resident engineering to develop winning strategies on the 1 to 5 year horizon, while implementing the resource strategies to create world class manufacturing within 3M.


• Implementing capital improvement projects for productivity gains, yield gains, and product growth with emphasis on vision & robotic technologies.


• Coaching team members and guiding prioritization of programs to improve product and process understanding (PPU) with emphasis on Data Analytics tools and Statistical techniques, which includes new product launches.


• Serve as Site Leader for Trade Secrets at Valley site and set expectations for Trade Secret Guardians.  Manage access approvals at all levels.


• Be hands on with Return to Green efforts, especially when constrained processes have extended downtimes. 


• Able to engage with Plant Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Technology group, and Corporate resources as needed.

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution


• Five (5) years of supervisory experience and/or project management experience  in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• 2+ years of leadership experience


• Experience in Injection Molding or Automated Assembly


• Demonstrated experience participating on cross functional teams.


• Flexible to provide support for round-the-clock manufacturing operations as needed.


• Self-starter/self-directed that leads with high energy and passion.


• Master’s degree

Work location: Valley, NE

Travel: May include up to 15% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized.
