Responsibilities:
Own the hourly recruiting process from start to finish and collaborate with department supervisors to discuss hiring needs
Create, implement, and support initiatives that build Johnsonville's culture and ensure it continues to thrive and serve as a strategic advantage for the organization - now and in the future
Demonstrate knowledge in all federal, state, and local employment laws and procedures
Assist Coaches (supervisors) in investigations and facilitate resolution of member relations issues ensuring fair and consistent resolutions
Develop and improve policies, programs, and procedures to advance the effectiveness of human resources and operations
Coach and influence others to make timely decisions using sound leadership practices, Johnsonville guidelines and legal considerations
Work with teams to improve the quality of work life and member engagement
Assist members with utilizing the great indirect compensation programs Johnsonville has to offer
Responsible for entering new hires into SAP as well as entering master data changes
Collaborate with the Learning and Development department to facilitate new hire orientation
Gather information for unemployment claims and assist in unemployment hearings
All other duties as assigned
Education:
Bachelor's degree or willingness to pursue preferred
Degree in Human Resources or a related field strongly preferred
SHRM or PHR certification preferred
Experience:
Three years of human resources experience
Experience leading and supporting strategic initiatives, influencing others, and driving result
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent computer literacy and experience with HR Information Systems experience
Organized, detailed and able to prioritize workload in a past paced environment
Ability to assess personnel policies, programs, and procedures, and inform members and coaches on the interpretation and understanding of each
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
English/Spanish Bilingual highly preferred but not required
