Job Description:

HotFoot Recruiters is excited to partner with a multinational sheet metal manufacturing company to fill the position of Quality Manager. This role will supervise and support quality control resources and related operations.

Position: Quality Manager
Type: Full-Time; Direct Hire
Location: North Phoenix, Arizona
Pay Range: DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Champion quality excellence by developing and implementing a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) that adheres to customer expectations and industry standards like ISO 9001&9000

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing quality team, promoting continuous improvement and problem-solving.

  • Supervise quality personnel to achieve departmental goals, prioritize tasks, and resolve defects while addressing operational challenges.

  • Regularly review and update operating procedures, test specifications, and change management processes for proactive quality assurance.

  • Guide your team in conducting root cause analysis for customer complaints and internal defects, implementing effective corrective actions.

  • Manage and analyze quality trends and metrics to identify improvement opportunities and reduce quality-related costs.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, manage key performance indicators (KPIs), and lead internal audits.

  • Oversee supplier quality audits and ensure all quality factors are met for successful site launches and ongoing ISO compliance.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years' experience in leading quality management efforts within a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven expertise in establishing and maintaining robust QMS and product safety certifications.

  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for building and empowering high-performing quality teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply problem-solving and analytical skills to drive improvements in quality and operational efficiency.

  • Technical understanding of mechanical design and controls related to sheet metal products, enabling effective troubleshooting and improvement initiatives.

  • Proficiency in quality improvement methodologies and tools, with a keen attention to detail and strong investigative skills.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, capable of prioritizing effectively, meeting deadlines, and leading successful change initiatives.
