POSITION SUMMARY


The Laboratory Assistant will complete a wide variety of support tasks for the Lab Technicians and Lab Analysts, ensuring best quality by following SGS' SOPs. Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks. Always follow safe laboratory practices and maintain a safe working environment. The main focus of the laboratory assistant will be the completion of all tasks pertaining the Laundry area of the Textile Laboratory.


JOBFUNCTIONS

• Conduct verifications, calibrations, maintenance of equipment of the laundry area and completion and maintenance of records


• Signs out supplies from supply room.


• Maintains adequate supply of accessories, consumables, chemicals, etc. in each lab, to ensure efficiency of production work.


• Disposes of samples after the appropriate retention period.


• Decontaminates/cleans laboratory glassware, containers, accessories, etc., following SOPs.


• Performs administrative tasks, as needed.


• Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures.


• Maintain the area orderly, organized in full compliance with internal requirements and SGS safety policies.


• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma Required


• 1-2 years of general work experience working on Laundry / Dry Cleaning Preferred


• Knowledge and experience of lab environment Preferred
