A Day in the Life

2nd shift: Hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment.
• Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
• Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Uses hand and power tools.
• Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment.
• Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience

• Experience with BAS systems
• Inspect, repair, modify HVAC equipment including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors, receivers, condensers, chillers, water cooling towers, forced air converter units, pumps, automatic and hand valves, expansion valves , refrigerators, freezers
• Ability to use multi meter to troubleshoot incoming power and low voltage controls
• EPA universal certification
• Ability to sweat , braze and pro-press pipe
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Familiar with chiller plant/cooling tower operation and water treatment
• Be on call every eight weeks 24/7 which could include holidays.
