Maintenance A (8:00am to 4:30pm) at Silgan Plastics Corporation in Deep River, Connecticut

Job Description:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Performs facility maintenance including plumbing, landscaping, preventive maintenance, welding & equipment repair. Assists in troubleshooting issues on production equipment and performs corrective actions. Performs duties with due regard to safety for self and other employees while exercising proper care and protection of company property. Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Reports any malfunctioning equipment or unsafe conditions to supervision immediately. Cooperates with all operating personnel and supervision. Works with a minimum of supervision. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.



EDUCATION:




Required: High School diploma or GED equivalent



SKILLS:




Required: High School Graduate or equivalent. Can meet the physical demands of position. Physical and drug screening is required. Machine operational experience a plus. Safety and quality focused. Mechanical Aptitude and troubleshooting skills a plus. Standing, walking, and lifting up to 35lbs
Ability to work safely and unhindered by physical restriction.
