RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Hoboken, NJ that is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Post-Awards Grant Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for managing post-award activities related to grants and contracts awarded to faculty and researchers within the institution. Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with grant terms, regulations, and institutional policies, while also providing exceptional support to grant-funded projects.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for post-award grant administration, providing guidance and support to faculty and staff regarding grant compliance, reporting requirements, and financial management


• The Post Award Grant Specialist will monitor grant budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with funding agency guidelines and institutional policies


• Prepare and submit financial and progress reports to funding agencies in a timely and accurate manner


• Collaborate with principal investigators, department administrators, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project implementation and execution


• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of grant-related transactions, communications, and documentation


• The Post Award Grant Specialist will stay informed about changes in grant regulations and policies, and provide training and support to faculty and staff as needed


• Utilize uniform guidance software and other relevant tools to streamline post-award processes and enhance efficiency

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field


• Master's degree preferred


• At least 3 years of experience in grant administration, preferably in a higher education or research environment


• Strong understanding of federal regulations and guidelines governing grant management, including Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200)


• Proficiency in the use of grant management software, with specific experience with uniform guidance software highly desirable


• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and ensure accuracy


• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build positive relationships


• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
