Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Blue Ash, OH that is seeking a Data Engineer.

Summary:
We develop strategies and solutions to ingest, store, and distribute our big data. Our developers use Big Data technologies including (but not limited to) Hadoop, Pyspark, Hive, JSON, and SQL to develop products, tools and software features.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or STEM)


• 4+ years of professional Data Development experience


• 3+ years of experience developing with Databricks or Hadoop/HDFS


• 3+ years of experience with PySpark/Spark


• 3+ years of experience with SQL


• 3+ years of experience developing with either Python, Java, or Scala


• Full understanding of ETL concepts and Data Warehousing concepts


• Experience with version control software


• Strong understanding of Agile Principles (Scrum)


• Experience with Azure


• Experience with Databricks Delta Tables, Delta Lake, Delta Live Tables


• Experience with Relational Data Modeling


• Experience with Structured Streaming (Spark or otherwise)


• Experience with GitHub SaaS/GitHub Actions


• Experience with Streamlit and/or Svelte App building is a plus


• Experience with CI/CD is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
