Job Description:

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions, including updating pricing in our revenue management system, invoicing, collections, and assisting with general accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.


• Update pricing in the revenue management system accurately and timely.


• Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.


• Follow up on outstanding invoices and collections.


• Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.


• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.


• Support audits and tax filings by providing necessary documentation and information.


• Collaborate with other members of the accounting team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.


• Perform ad hoc accounting tasks and projects as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting preferred.


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.


• Experience with updating pricing in revenue management systems preferred.


• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or SAP.


• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.


• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.


• Proficiency in Spanish is preferred for effective communication with Spanish speaking clients or vendors

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
