Primary Location:3452 Spur 399, McKinney, Texas, 75069We are searching for candidates that meet the required qualifications and experience and are able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
Job Summary:Provide leadership to ensure teaching excellence and student success in Collegiate Academy and/or Dual Credit Programs at Collin College. Manage and develop the Collegiate Academy and other dual credit courses and programs, as assigned, by overseeing facilitation of course offerings. Work in collaboration with Independent School District (ISD) staff and administration and with Collin College's P-12 Partnership staff, academic associate deans, and academic deans.
Required Qualifications:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students, faculty and staff for the assigned Collegiate Academy and ISDs. Facilitate resolution of student and faculty concerns in a constructive, fair and balanced manner working with students, school personnel, faculty, associate faculty, academic advisors, Dean of Students Office, and other departments as needed.

  • Provides leadership and oversight for the development, expansion, and administration of the college's dual credit program in accord with standards established by the college, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.

  • Contributes to the achievement of the college's retention and completion goals by identifying opportunities for growth, increased student success, and clear and efficient pathways.

  • Makes regular visits to assigned schools representing the college in a professional manner and develops relationships to ensure efficient communication.

  • Assist the academic associate deans, workforce directors, and faculty search committees with the selection of appropriate, qualified candidates for faculty for the Collegiate Academy and dual credit courses and programs consistent with core values and the college's academic standards.

  • Encourage teaching excellence, collaboration to promote academic, and student success in the academy. Regularly review student success data and work with the associate deans and directors to ensure a quality and timely staffing plan is in place.

  • Produce the course schedule for each assigned partner ISD within timelines that align with the college's operations. Work with the appropriate associate deans and directors to efficiently staff the schedule.

  • Analyze and monitor yearly data and make recommendations for new faculty positions as needed.

  • Participate with the academic dean in strategic and academic cycle planning at the college, academy, ISDs, program, advisory committee and course levels, including development and input of partnership agreements.

  • Collaborate with the associate vice president of P-12 Partnerships, district deans and others involved in dual credit oversight and administration for dual credit planning related to Collegiate Academy and dual credit courses and programs.

  • In consultation with the academic dean, supervise day to day management and evaluation of the assigned Collegiate Academies and ISDs, its full-time Collegiate Academy and dual credit professors, adjunct faculty, staff, facilities and resources to accomplish safe and effective program delivery and coordination of activities and projects.

  • Collaborate with academy and dual credit faculty, Associate Dean P-12 Partnerships, and ISD administration and staff to facilitate student success in the assigned Collegiate Academy and ISDs.

  • Participate with the vice president in the fiscal planning and management of the academy and Dual Credit Program and its resources. Produce and monitor reports related to student satisfaction, retention, enrollment and academic progress and maintain accurate and complete records related to systematic evaluation, performance evaluation and accreditation.

  • Promote and track communication between dual credit faculty and high school personnel regarding student progress during a given semester including the use of the Early Alert Referral System.

  • Assist the academic dean to develop class schedules, assign faculty schedule/load and ensure compliance with academic policies, procedures and guidelines of Collin College, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

  • Provide direction for long-term strategic enrollment growth utilizing data analysis to drive decisions supporting marketing, recruitment; achievement of goals and implementation of growth strategies to achieve desired targets.

  • Serve as the point person in developing and facilitating all ISD onboarding for new dual credit faculty, continuous improvement, and the provision of updates and other pertinent information.

  • Provide dual credit faculty with orientations at the onset of each semester.

Physical Demands, Working Conditions and Physical Effort


Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.


Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions.


Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment.


Little physical effort required.




Requirements


Master's degree from an accredited institution and three (3) years of higher education experience, to include at least one (1) year of teaching in higher education.



Preferred


At least two (2) years of dual credit experience in higher education and one (1) year of supervisory experience.
