Shift: 2nd Shift 2:00 pm- 10:30 pm Monday- Friday Overtime and Weekend depend on the business needs



Hourly Rate: $20.00/h + Shift Differential $0.75 + Team Lead Stipend $1.50




JOB DESCRIPTION



Shipping Specialist/Leader is not a manager.

  • Specialist will collaborate and serve as a liaison for customer service and supply chain teams.
  • Review, plan, coordinate, and support the daily work of the department with a continuous focus on our ALPS priorities - Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Drive daily ALPS Performance Meetings and weekly Improvement Meetings in the dept.
  • Run the daily shift startup/handover meetings.
  • Be a link between the team, support functions and TM
  • Participate in projects and improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in all aspects of the Problem Resolution Process to help determine the root causes of problems and create sustainable solutions.
  • Provide departmental training and work as needed.
  • Write and audit SOP's/JIB's as required, and drive improvements to the processes.
  • Own the warehouse and all inbound/outbound activities with coordination with the production team.
  • Manage inventory both onsite and offsite with Cycle/Spot counting, documentation management, and communication with offsite storage suppliers.
  • Perform incoming material inspections.
  • Process Return Material Authorization (RMA's) and Material Return Authorization (MRA's).
  • Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's).
  • Investigate claims and support resolution.
  • Serve as liaison between the dept., support functions, and Team Manager.
  • Ability to multi-task, self-manage, and prioritize to meet deadlines.



The successful candidate will have:


  • High school or GED minimum.
  • Basic Personal Computer skills with demonstrated ability in Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Alfa Laval Production System (ALPS), including 5S, Cell Status Boards, PRP, and KPI Boards.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Must have stand-up lift experience.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX (Preferred)
  • Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse/Supply Chain experience (Preferred)




PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS





  • Physical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment use):
  • Be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Shall be able to read Safety Data Sheets for the Aerosols, coolants etc.
  • Environmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure):
