Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary:
Assist the Office for Sustainability in the planning of the international and interdisciplinary sustainability conference. This includes, but is not limited to, managing logistics, marketing, communications, and leading other essential tasks. Support the Assistant Director of Sustainability in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Essential Job Functions:
Be the point person for all external marketing and communications regarding the international sustainability conference.
Plan, organize and delegate tasks related to the international sustainability conference. Compile data and information for sustainability reports.
Provide support for campus sustainability events.
Research existing and available sustainable technologies and programs to evaluate potential of implementation on Villanova’s campus.
Identify new metrics for tracking.
Develop and assist with new sustainability initiatives.
Requirements:
Minimum requirements:Formal Education
Completed Master’s degree in Sustainable Engineering (minimum).
Work Experience
1-2years’ related experience in conference planning.
1-2 years’ experience in working in engineering data collection, processing, and analysis.
Work Skills (e.g., written, and verbal communication skills)
Excellent quantitative, interpersonal, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills
Good Judgement in confidential situations and ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information.
Strong work ethic and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and self-motivate.
Specific Job Knowledge (e.g., knowledge of principles and procedures related to field and area)
Experience working with Sustainable Development Goals, Villanova’s sustainability plan and metrics.
