What you will do

As a Senior Financial Reporting Associate, you will be part of the PGIM Controllers team supporting the global businesses of PGIM. Your role in this team will support senior management and other business partners across the globe. You will support the various international finance teams in optimizing efficiency and automation as well as leveraging the enterprise’s capabilities. You will also partner with the Controllership team in measuring and evaluating the financial performance of the business by providing timely, accurate financial reports and insightful analysis of business drivers behind the results, while maintaining appropriate internal controls.

The position is based in our Newark, NJ office. Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees work remotely and from the office. Working from the office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high degree of collaboration. Overtime is expected during peak periods.

What you can expect


  • Support the financial reporting process, including close coordination, segment deliverables, AUM, Flows and financial statements.

  • Liaise between the regions and ledger support on Oracle and access issues.

  • Collaborate with the finance teams on reporting submissions and close tasks.

  • Provide insightful and impactful analytics of the financial results for assigned businesses to various audiences, including senior management.

  • Support internal control standards to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and/or other external accounting policies and standards.

  • Respond to, and coordinate, annual audit requests and provide well supported material.

  • M Support special projects as assigned, as well as propose and drive process enhancements and automation.

  • Review policies and procedures and ensure consistency across the regions.

Specific responsibilities for the position will vary over time based on business needs and other factors.

What you will bring


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment.

  • Initiative-taking, organized, highly motivated and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities under challenging time frames.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to collaborate and partner with various counterparts.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work overtime during peak periods.

What will set you apart?


  • Prior working experience in financial services industry, public accounting, or asset management.

  • Progress towards CPA, CFA, or MBA.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP reporting requirements.

  • Knowledge of relevant financial reporting and data analysis applications (Oracle general ledger, EFDW, Tableau, Power BI).

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $70,000 to $80,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
