The Director of Facilities oversees all Rybovich Facility building operating systems including facilities/maintenance, technical engineering services, landscaping, janitorial services, Equipment and fire systems. This position oversees all capital maintenance projects with the assistance of Project Managers on larger jobs. The Maintenance Department also provides “hotel services” to vessels on Dry dock, hazmat removal, and Hot Work checks. Our members are Captains and Crew of large private yachts in a repair and marina facility as well as internal teammate customers. The Maintenance Department is the backbone of a facility employing over 200 teammates who provide exceptional Trades to top tier members. This role may also be referred to as Facilities Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the building operating systems of multiple facilities and associated shops and large equipment.
Current maintenance department is subdivided into Housekeeping, Heavy Equipment, Hotel Services, Recycling/Hazmat, Routine Maintenance and Shipyard Safety
Administer a long-term maintenance schedule of building, grounds, and facility repairs and replacements using CMMS
Maintain the capital replacement schedule and budget
Negotiate and administer applicable outside service agreements and subcontractors
Work with general contractors on various projects as they come up
Manage 24-hour response for Maintenance/HVAC emergencies
Ensuring the facility complies with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards
Establish and maintain safety standards in facilities work activities and ensure proper use of chemicals and equipment in facilities maintenance and landscaping activities
Facilitates monthly safety meetings
Other duties as assigned by Manager
Technical and Physical Requirements
10+ years of management experience in a shipyard or other related facility setting preferred
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or similar field is preferred
Ability to coordinate activities and events, analyze diverse situations and recommend appropriate course of action.
Demonstrated leadership with the ability to work across functional boundaries; build consensus; and drive results
Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety procedures
Excellent problem-solving and strategic-planning skills
High degree of patience, good humor, and fortitude in managing relationships with various constituents; other departments, members, and teammates
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with shipyard equipment, cooling towers, cranes, forklifts and high voltage
Experience with computerized maintenance management software
Ability to think, communicate clearly, and act quickly in emergency situations
MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook required
Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken
Bilingual in Spanish a plus
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent computer skills
Basic marine / boating knowledge a plus
Understanding of marine / yachting nomenclature a plus
