As a(n) HIS Clinical Analyst - Population health methodology grouper, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:


  • Assuming the primary responsibility of Clinical Analyst in providing subject matter expertise in the design, enhancement and development of clinical content including simulation model evaluation, specification, documentation, validation, and application of software modules related to Clinical Risk Grouping Software (CRG) and Patient-focused Episodes (PFE). Solutions that are used throughout the world to care management, population risk adjustment, bundled payment, budget, track, and set policy for value-based payment and care

  • Must have experience in research, design, development, and analysis of population health risk adjustment classification methodologies. Research within this space to identify opportunities of improvement using risk adjustment for health outcomes, functional status, and bundled payment episodes to total cost of care.

  • Contributing and coordinating with the research efforts related to the methodologies, provide input into the prioritization of the potential research enhancements.

  • Work directly with the Chief Product Owner, Product Owners, and clinical research team to drive enhancements to the
    methodologies by translating the clinical hypotheses into clinical logic content specifications using existing coding systems, documenting and maintaining clear clinical specifications.

  • Work directly and collaborate with the technical, quality, and clinical team members, integrating product concepts to implement and test the clinical specification.

  • Responsible for publication of articles, counterchange of discussion with respect to outpatient risk stratification measure.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND eight (8) years of experience in the healthcare industry in a private, public, government or military environment

OR
  • High School Diploma/GED from AND twelve (12) years of experience in the healthcare industry in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Master's degree in related field, Healthcare data research with focus on patient classification, coding, and/or HIM credentials.

  • Strong knowledge of patient classification research and development: population health risk adjustment used in CRGs, related efficiency measures for the commercial, Medicare and Medicaid environments.

Detailed Analysis of Healthcare Data.


  • Review detailed reports and identify relevant/significant patterns/statistics

  • Review of Codes and code specifications to insure component integrity


Healthcare economics

  • Understands diseases/treatments/progression and costs

  • Resource utilization needs (CRGs and episodes)

Detailed knowledge and understanding of Health Care coding


  • Understanding of various ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, CPT/HCPSC and their indication of severity, understanding of various codes and relatedness/exclusion/effect for grouping, (all population codes international as well)

  • Understanding of coding guidelines and how it affects data.

  • Ability to evaluate a research question, define analysis, analyze results and statistical output and patterns, document hypotheses and recommendations.

Detailed understanding of Solventum Groupers sufficient to suggest and maintain logic

  • Ability to understand current logic and its applications and uses
  • Ability to troubleshoot and suggest new logic based on data or market changes

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
