Fred Finch School Based Services are a full-service therapy program designed to help youth in elementary through high school to learn to succeed in school, improve their grades, attendance and interpersonal relationships with their peers and families.
Fred Finch Youth & Family Services staff work closely with teachers, school staff, caregivers, parents, and participants to improve participants' functioning at school and home. Each student is evaluated independently, and a customized action plan is developed for addressing each of the known barriers to success. Youth enrolled at the schools below in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties who have full-scope Medi-Cal are eligible for services.

What You Will Do

The Program Director directs the delivery of effective high-quality services of one or more programs serving youth and/or young adults. Duties include direct and indirect supervision and oversight of all service planning and delivery, program and resource development and management, personnel management including hiring, evaluation, coaching, and training. Director provides leadership congruent with applicable regulation as well as agency policy, values, and mission; provides management reports as required; and leads significant program committees or efforts as assigned. The Program Director has indirect and direct reports and manages multiple funding streams. The Program Director represents the agency and program with funders, governmental agencies, and community providers.
Shifts Available
Full Time - afternoon and evenings required. Work remotely with clinical services provided in the community, office and telehealth settings.
Salary Range
In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $48.81 and $78.86 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

What You Bring to The Table (requirements):

M.A. or M.S.W. Degree and #LCSW or #MFT.
Two (2) years post-licensure experience, if supervising staff who are pursuing licensure with the B.B.S.
Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of diagnostic assessment, individual/family/group behavioral treatment methods for target population of program.
Experience with or knowledge of designing, supervising, monitoring, changing, and discontinuing individualized behavioral interventions for staff delivering behavioral services (e.g., TBS).
Demonstrated knowledge of risk assessment, including danger to self or others, and effective community-based interventions for those with high risk.
Demonstrated ability to utilize de-escalation techniques that align with the trauma informed care model as part of intervention strategy for working with participants in crisis who are responding to triggers/stressors and/or demonstrating early indicators of distress.
Demonstrated cultural responsiveness in working with diverse families and communities.
Clean driving record: current CA Driver's License or ability to obtain within 10 days after hire.
Must have access to dependable transportation and personal car insurance, meeting minimum liability coverage required if driving for work or transporting participants, unless using an agency vehicle.
Basic computer and keyboarding competence with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred

One or more years of supervisory or program management experience.
One or more years of residential, community-based, or wraparound experience.
One or more years post-graduate school experience with program target population (i.e. intellectually disabled, homeless, teens or young adults, SED); at least one-year experience with program modality (i.e. school-based, residential, mobile/community-based, assertive community treatment, wraparound, etc.).
Demonstrated ability to assess, triage and organize work.
Demonstrated ability in using a strength-based, culturally competent approach to supervision, participant and community service.
Experience with or knowledge of designing, supervising, monitoring, changing, and discontinuing individualized behavioral health interventions.
Experience with relevant evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed approaches).
Experience in and demonstrated ability in behavioral, crisis management and family/individual/group therapy skills.
Fluency in prevailing language(s) of the community served.
