Job Description:

Position Summary:

Directs the planning, construction and maintenance of the Club’s facilities and property. Responsible for developing budgets and long-range facilities plans based on Club growth and future needs. Oversees the functioning of all building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire safety, plumbing, and waste management. Negotiates and approves contracts. Additionally, oversees contractors involved in facility projects and delivery of services. Ensures building operations comply with all local zoning laws and regulations. Manages and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structure of buildings and maintaining grounds. Responsible for fire prevention and security in all areas of the Club

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Prepares monthly financial analysis of departmental P/L.

  • Directs staff engaged in all aspects of facilities maintenance. Maintenance functions include painting, masonry, electrical repairs, lighting systems, heating and ventilation, fire extinguishers, air conditioning and plumbing, Cable TV.

  • Adheres to local and federal requirements to maintain building safety

  • Keeps records of all regulations, inspections of facilities and maintains all work agreements, contracts and vendor agreements related to ongoing equipment and facilities operations.

  • Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and standards related to new construction and renovated facilities.

  • Produces production schedules and coordinates staffing requirements for completion of job assignments.

  • Performs weekly property inspections and keeps detailed ongoing records of inspections and follow-ups.

  • Implements changes in working procedures and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the staff.

  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists staff in solving work problems.

  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate staff to achieve work goals.

  • Confers with other department managers to coordinate facilities and maintenance needs,

  • Keeps record system of all initiated, pending, or completed work and communicates the level of completion to department managers.

  • Oversees the requisition of tools, equipment, and supplies.

  • Oversees inventory of supplies and parts of new or ongoing repairs to facilities.

  • Attends weekly Department Head Meeting and Operations Meeting

  • Attends monthly Property Committee meetings

  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training new employees.

  • Responsible for employee evaluations and disciplinary actions when warranted.

  • Conducts and tracks employee safety awareness training.

Education & Work Experience Requirements:


  • Must have at least 10 years’ combined experience and knowledge in facilities maintenance, remodeling and construction.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or technical school equivalent.

  • General Contractor License preferred.
