Best Formulations is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for our Huntington Beach, CA. location.  The HRBP will serve as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues, act as an employee champion and change agent, and form partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The position requires an individual who is capable of balancing employee needs with business objectives to create integrated solutions.

 How will you contribute:

• Partner with leadership to align HR strategy to business strategy.


• Analyze trends and metrics with the HR department to develop solutions, programs, and policies.


• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations when necessary.


• Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).


• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.


• Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation; ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.


• Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.


• Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.


• Identify training needs for teams and individuals.


• Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.


• Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success; follow up to ensure training objectives are met.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.


• A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years as an HR business partner.


• In-depth knowledge of California labor law and HR best practices.


• Excellent people management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.


• Demonstrated ability to manage HR projects and initiatives from inception through execution.


• Effective listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Proficiency with HRIS systems and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.


• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

This position is currently classified as on-site.

Base Salary Range: $100,000 $122,000, based on candidate professional experience level. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Holidays, Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program.

The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, but not limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
