Therefore, we provide:Holiday PayGenerous Vacation timeJOB SUMMARYThe Distribution Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all distribution operations of our plant which includes goal setting, organization of daily activities of all shifts, ensuring products and services meet established department standards, and that other assigned objectives are met.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the warehouse distribution operations
• Manage the cost, quality, quantity, and good efficiency of the receiving, storage, movement and shipment of goods
• Maintain a safe and compliant working environment for facility-related and operations-related safety (OSHA), regulatory compliance policies, and quality control practices
• Ensure compliance of DOT regulations
• Oversee the transportation of goods from production site to consumer
• Develop and implement a logistics process
• Analyze logistical problems, develop, and implement new solutions and assist in increasing business growth by improving operations and customer service
• Evaluate budget compliance and make suggestions as appropriate
• Schedule and conduct monthly trainings for warehouse employees as needed
• Oversee the shipping of finished products
• Ascertain how much freight to place on shipments
• Manage the routing process for shipments
• Ensure deadlines are met
• Monitor progress of major shipments to ensure receipt
• Direct the activities of logistics
• Collaborate with management to ensure inventories are maintained at optimal levels

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment
• 5-7 years of Distribution Management experience
• Strong Excel skills (Advanced)
• Knowledge of ERP Systems, Oracle is a plus
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to motivate staff members.
• Ability to lead and positively influence employees
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to communicate well in oral and written forms

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION: Four year college degree with a concentration in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Distribution or a closely related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted in place of degree requirements.EXPERIENCE: 5 + years of experience working in a Warehouse Manager/Distribution Manager role.WORKING CONDITIONSPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Sitting in the same location of standing/walking; required to stoop, climb or lift light material (10-20lbs) or equipment.ENVIRONMENT: Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers
