Position Overview

You'll provide the Finance Team and Senior Management with a forecast of the company's profit and loss and operational performance to highlight the effectiveness of the company's strategic plans and investments for 10 companies across WA, OR, ID, MT & CA. You'll be responsible for a wide variety of tasks including preparing and presenting financial reports and analyses, providing commentary, and supporting the annual budget cycle and strategic planning processes. Each day will provide you with new problems to solve, and you'll be empowered to find new and creative solutions. You'll see the impacts of your work every day in each and every construction project we complete - from buildings to roads and parking lots to playgrounds, you'll play an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.

Location: This position can be based out of Salem, OR; Spokane, WA; Pacific, WA; or Tri-Cities, WA; or Yakima, WA.

Other locations within the Northwest Region may be considered based on location availibiltiy and candidate preference.

What You Can Do

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

To excel in this role, you should have (Minimum Required Qualifications):

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or closely related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and validate financial and performance data and to communicate financial information and trends in multiple formats.

  • Demonstrated ability to create presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint, and to present complex data/concepts clearly and concisely to a wide range of audiences.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel user.

  • Excellent organizational, project management, interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to build strong relationships, and influence key stakeholders at all levels.

  • A current authorization to work in the United States, and can pass pre-employment controlled-substance testing. Per RCW 49.44.240 this position has been identified by the employer as non-safety sensitive and will be subject to an employer-required pre-employment drug screening that does not include testing for nonpsychoactive cannabis metabolites.


Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Perform quantitative analysis of operational and financial data using various programs, reports and tools to better understand performance.

  • Prepare financial reports for internal use.

  • Coordinate deep-dive analysis of operating company variances.

  • Provide insights to senior management around financial modeling, forecasts and profitability and highlight trends in reporting information.

  • Develop and suggest new KPIs or reporting formats to improve reporting quality.

  • Collect, analyze and report financial data.

  • Prepare monthly commentary of financial results and report to leaders.

  • Participate in region budget and forecasts (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow).

  • Consolidate region financial data for five-year strategic plans.

  • Participate in new company initiatives and support implementation.

  • Ad-hoc analysis as required for senior management.

  • Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities to increase productivity.

  • Other duties as assigned.
