Essential Functions These are the job duties required of the position.
Essential Functions
Independently plans, designs, and conducts experimental protocols designed to meet research objectives.
Manages day-to-day laboratory operation and ensures adherence to safety regulations and best practices.
Maintains mouse colonies.
Conducts mouse genotyping using PCR and gel electrophoresis, RT-PCR, immunohistochemistry, co-immunoprecipitation ELISA and cell transfection.
Conducts surgeries related to cardiovascular biology.
Performs biomolecular assays.
Collaborates on routine projects.
Maintains lab supplies and equipment.
Installs and adapts scientific equipment.
Maintains detailed records.
Oversees undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral trainees.
Regular and prompt attendance;
Ability to work additional hours as defined and overtime as required;
Related duties as required.
