Summary

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Inventory Control/Purchasing Associate. This role plays a crucial part in our operations by ensuring the efficient management of inventory and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities


  • Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of pumps, valves, and related components.
  • Monitor inventory movements, including receiving, storing, and issuing of materials, to maintain accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock counts with system records.
  • Collaborate with various departments to forecast inventory needs and develop replenishment strategies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and place purchase orders for materials and supplies.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
  • Track and update purchasing records, including costs, lead times, and delivery schedules.
  • Analyze inventory data and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to purchasing and inventory management, such as generating reports and maintaining documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
  • Knowledge of pumps and valves industry is a plus.
