Work Schedule :

Full-time, 100% FTE day shift. Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, no weekends are required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Come provide Social Work support to UW Health's Adult Gender Services Program and Behavioral Health Youth and Family Clinic. The Adult Gender Service Program provides the affirming care and support patients deserve. We help transgender, gender expansive and nonbinary adults and children get quality health care. The Behavioral Health Youth and Family is an outpatient behavioral health clinic serving adolescents and young adults ages 12-21. Clinicians provide mental health and substance use treatment through an array of modalities, many of which focus on trauma treatment.

We are seeking a Social Worker to:


  • Connecting families/caregiver connect them with services in the community, as well as additional services through UW Health.
  • Participate in biweekly multidisciplinary clinics for gender diverse patients and provide education, resource distribution, and overall team support as appropriate.
  • Provide de-escalation support for patients in clinic experiencing crisis situations, including discussion and appropriate recommendations following disclosure of suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, and other significant safety concerns.

Education :

Minimum - Masters Degree in Social Work

Work Experience :

Preferred - Two (2) years prior hospital based social work experience

Licenses & Certifications :

Minimum - Licensed in the state of Wisconsin with one of the following within 90 days of hire:


  • Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker (CAPSW)
  • Certified Independent Social Worker (CISW)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
