Basic Job Functions:
The basic functions of an Accounts Payable Clerk include, but are not limited to:
Receiving and processing of invoices
Ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors
Working with vendors, requisitioners, and purchasers to resolve payment issues
Assisting Accountants with month-end close responsibilities
Cross-training with Accounting Department teammates
Maintaining all facets of the accounts payable system
Performing other clerical or administrative functions related to Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Accounting, and Human Resources as neededSafety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Computer skills - Experience using Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Supervisor and/or manager recommendation
2. Has obtained or is pursuing a 4-year degree
