The Director Specialty Compliance and Ethics will help shape Walmart's ethical use of technology as we work at transforming ourselves and the retail experience for our Customers and Associates.


We are looking for a bright and ambitious candidate to join the Walmart Technology Policy Compliance Team. The Director Specialty Compliance and Ethics is a critical role that works with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop item-level policies for Technology Governance. This role will be a critical part of facilitating our business with digital transformation initiatives. You will help shape the company's policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines regarding the responsible use of technology. Reporting to the Senior Director of Technology and Data Policy Compliance, you will work to draft and develop and manage technology governance policies, standards, and compliance controls and will aid in resolving challenges and questions with respect to policy applicability.

• You have a great eye for detail and can draft simple, clear, and concise policies and presentations.


• Hands-on experience working with executives and key stakeholders; contributing to informed business decision-making processes by providing valuable insights and guidance in policy matters.


• You are comfortable communicating with senior and executive leadership.


• You're organized, disciplined, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.


• You're a master at making complex subjects easily understood through text and visuals.


• You "get things done" and have a "can do" attitude.

Global Policy Expertise - Possess in-depth knowledge of regulatory and other major global legislative frameworks, demonstrating proficiency in navigating complex regulations.


Policy and Technology Acumen - A solid understanding of the interplay between policy and technology issues, showcasing an ability to address stakeholder concerns within a technological context.


Analyzing Issues Related to Our Policies - Work with subject matter experts, legal, our business partners and others to understand business needs and regulations and assist in developing policies and controls to operationalize those needs, and presentations to message the team's goals.


Leading Initiatives - Take ownership of one or multiple team objectives and implement a plan of action.


Cross-Functional Collaboration Skills - Establishing and nurturing cross-functional, collaborative relationships with both business and technology partners. This capability will be pivotal in effectively deploying policy compliance programs.


Leveraging Tools - Learn to utilize the many tools and resources we have available to efficiently manage workflow.


Building strategic relationships: Maximize relationships with subject matter experts and other business partners to understand their business.


Operating with excellence - Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, managing projects, and developing your knowledge base.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 7 years' experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area. 3 years' supervisory experience. 4 years' experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
