Bookkeeping, Accounting, & Auditing Clerk. Operate comps prgm'd w/ acctg s/ware to record, store, & anlyz info. Check figures, postings, & docs for correct entry, math accuracy, & proper codes. Op 10-key calculators, typewriters, & copy machines to perf calc'ns & produce docs. Receive, rcrd , & bank cash, checks, & vouchers. Code docs accrd to co procedures. Perf fin calc'ns, such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, & principal. Reconcile or note & report discrepancies found in rcrds. Perf gen office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, & handling routine correspondence. Access computerized fin info to answer gen questions & those rltd to specific accts. Classify, rcrd, & summarize numerical & fin data to compile & keep fin rcrds. Debit, credit, & total accts on comp spreadsheets & dtbases. Match order forms w/ invoices, & rcrd necss info. Prep & process payroll info. Prep bank deposits. Compute deductions for income & social security taxes. Calc & prep checks for utilities, taxes, & other payments. Monitor status of loans & accts. Reconcile records of bank transactions. Compile budget data & docs. Compare comp printouts to manually maint'd journals to determine if they match. Transfer details from separate journals to gen ledgers or data processing sheets. Complete & submit tax forms & returns, workers' compensation forms, pension contrib'n forms, & other govt docs. Calc, prep, & issue bills, invoices, acct stmts, & other fin stmts accord to established procedures. Calc costs of mat'ls, overhead, & other expenses. Prep POs & expense reports. Prep trial balances of books. Compile stat'l, fin, acctg, or auditing reports & tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accts payable & receivable, & profits & losses. Maint co's rcrds. Req Associate's in Accounting or finance rltd field & 72 mos exp in Bookkeeping, Accounting or finance rltd. $60,923/yr.
