Role

We are looking to expand our growing legal team by bringing on a Corporate Counsel, reporting to Intrinsic's General Counsel. As Corporate Counsel, you will join a rapidly growing Company and legal team. You should have experience working with innovative companies and their executive team throughout the company lifecycle, including: day to day corporate governance issues, corporate transactions (M&A and financings), equity compensation, and experience with other areas of law, such as commercial, employment and intellectual property.

You will be working on a variety of projects across the company - some projects will be proactive and owned by you, for others you will be a collaborative member of the team of both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that legal risks have been considered and mitigated wherever possible. The role will be challenging and is expected to evolve over time as the legal team and broader business scales. How your work moves the mission forward

• Drive corporate governance as well as strategic corporate transactions
• Provide legal counsel and business-focused guidance to internal stakeholders, including Leadership, Finance, Tech Leads, Business Development and other clients, and communicate legal concepts understandably
• Advise business clients as well as cross-functional colleagues on legal issues and risks, including with respect to corporate governance, employment, IP and business strategy
• Build, scale and optimize internal processes, including for corporate approvals and company policies and procedures

Skills you will need to be successful

• JD degree with a strong academic record
• Minimum of four years of experience, preferably at a comparable company or top tier law firm working with high growth emerging companies
• Stellar academic credentials and references, strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships, and ability to work well under pressure, with minimal supervision, and manage a diverse and complex workload and proactively anticipate challenges and recommend solutions
• High standard of ethics along with the ability to act with discretion, strict confidentiality, and sensitivity towards issues and individuals
• Must be admitted to the CA bar and be in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in California.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $195,200 - 308,750 + bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
