The Plumbing Place is hiring for the position of Sales Associate in our Sarasota, Florida showroom.  Energetic, enthusiastic and well-organized team players are welcome to apply and become a member of our creative sales team.  We offer competitive salaries and company benefits.  The Plumbing Place is a 6,000 square foot showroom of luxury bath & kitchen products, and designer cabinet and door hardware for residential clients. Our Showroom Sales Associates provide expert product selection assistance and design advice to customers.  Responsibilities include -

• Assisting showroom customers, assessing their needs, guiding their product selections, and successfully closing the sale
• Providing customers with reliable information regarding product specifications, product suitability, pricing, and availability
• Entering sales orders, expediting procurement, and maintaining customer communication to ensure an accurate and timely order fulfillment
• Maintaining product information to ensure the most current and accurate information is always provided to our customers

Qualifications

As a showroom salesperson you must be informative, friendly, and service-oriented. Excellent verbal communication is essential and salespeople must approach all customer interactions in an honest and ethical fashion.

All interested applicants should possess:

• High school degree or equivalent
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills
• Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Outlook)
• The ability to maintain positive relationships with team members, vendors, and customers, and most importantly - have fun at your job.

Ideal candidates also possess knowledge of kitchen & bath products, but this is not a necessity because these skills can be learned through experience and training.
