Job Purpose
The Financial Analyst specializing in Operations and Financial Reporting will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reports. This position involves analyzing financial performance, preparing detailed reports, and collaborating with various departments to streamline financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
Task

Inform investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business, industry, or economic conditions.
Prepare plans of action for investment, using financial analyses.
Present oral or written reports on general economic trends, individual corporations, and entire industries.
Monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments by analyzing information from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, or personal interviews.
Interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment programs.
Monitor developments in the fields of industrial technology, business, finance, and economic theory.
Draw charts and graphs, using computer spreadsheets, to illustrate technical reports.
Forecast or analyze financial costs associated with climate change or other environmental factors, such as clean water supply and demand.

Financial Reporting

Prepare and distribute timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results and provide explanations for significant discrepancies.

Operational Analysis

Analyze operational performance metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Work with operations teams to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support operational decision-making.
Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and financial performance.;


Budgeting and Forecasting

Participate in the annual budgeting process, including preparation of budget templates and coordination with various departments.
Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting activities.
Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, providing regular updates and variance analyses to management.


Data Management and Analysis

Collect, consolidate, and analyze financial data from various sources to support reporting and operational analysis.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data in the company's financial systems.\
Use data analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, and insights in financial and operational data.


Collaboration and Communication

Collaborate with finance, accounting, and operational teams to gather information and ensure alignment of financial and operational goals.
Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses to senior management and other stakeholders.
Communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.

Qualification
Education and Experience
Years of Experience 3-5 years related work experience in financial planning and analysis.
