About the job

As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving profitable growth by effectively supporting manufacturer rep performance, focusing on capital sales of heat transfer products for the industrial food segment of the Food Heat Transfer Business Unit. Currently, this is a home office based position, Midwest preferred.

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Continuously measure mfg rep effectiveness; ensuring rep is providing best efforts in terms of market penetration
  • Jointly set both sales and non-sales goals with mfg reps based upon territory, product, customer base and market team input using Joint Planning Tool
  • Evaluate and determine necessary actions to improve mfg rep effectiveness and implement these plans
  • Identify potential mfg rep partners in all territories
  • Drive non-commercial issues back to the appropriate internal resources
  • Identify training needs of the mfg rep

What you know:

You have a Bachelor's degree Business, Food Science or Technical Discipline or related area or significant relevant and equivalent experience, and:

  • Background including selling in an industrial environment
  • Previous territory management, a plus
  • Proven commercial orientation
  • Experience with the practical application of heat transfer equipment, strong generalist in all product lines.
  • Strong communication, coaching and motivation skills
  • Strong strategic planning skills
  • Highly organized
  • Self-directed, able to work in a sales matrix environment
  • Ability to tailor presentation skills to situation/needs of audience
  • Ability to multitask and drive objectives in a fast-paced environment
Travel expectation: 30%-50%
