Job Description:


The candidate will direct financial activities and staff in accounts payable/receivable, cash treasury, general accounting and payroll.


AR/AP Process and Accounting Staff Oversight

·       Work with Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager to manage the staff in these departments

·       Review and assist with AP processing including internal controls and fraud review and vendor management.

·       Complete subcontracts payables

·       Process intercompany transactions including balancing and reconciliation

·       Assist with preparation of cost plus billing or other specialized billing to support operations and other divisions

ERP System general understanding of all modules

·       Equipment, Job Cost, GL, AP, AR, Payroll, etc

Cash/Treasury Management

·       Bank reconciliation oversight

·       Work with Corporate Controller to assist on Wires, ACH, Positive Pay, etc.

General Accounting

·       Journal entries

·       Income/progress pay estimate entry

·       AP entry (backup)

·       Payroll entry (Backup)

·       Accounting Reconciliation

·       Payroll tax accounts, benefit accounts

·       Other accounts as assigned for monthly/quarterly and year end analysis at least limited to specific OU’s

·       Audit workpaper preparation and assistance as needed with the audit process


·       Full oversight of the enterprise wide payroll process.

·       Ability to perform all payroll related tasks for weekly payroll from time entry to tax filings to ACH

·       Work with payroll manager to ensure all regional payroll clerks are properly and timely performing their tasks and with a high level of accuracy

·       Review of time entry for accuracy and proper davis bacon wage treatment

·       Review of weekly processing to ensure process is accurate and working correctly.

·       Ensure all tax filings are accurate and timely filed including review of work done by payroll manager.

·       Understanding of pay cards and direct deposit process and ability to perform those functions weekly if needed

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience required

·       Multi-State Payroll Experience in an enterprise level system

·       Davis Bacon/Prevailing wage certified payroll experience

·       Staff Management experience of both professional accounting and clerical staff

·       Job cost experience including billing for lump sum and cost plus and unit price contracts

·       AR/AP experience and management of those processes

·       Multi company and/or multi division experience

·       ERP system experience related to setup and configuration of modules especially payroll

·       Cash/Treasury Management experience

·       GAAP and internal controls experience

·       Data extraction/data analytics experience (scripts, report writing, excel data analysis)
