Research Analyst and Statistical Analyst The Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Council (PHC4), a state council that collects, analyzes, and reports health care data, is seeking two positions: a high-level statistical analyst and a research analyst in the Harrisburg area. For the Research Analyst position, experience in the collection, compilation, editing and logical interpretation of quantified data are required. Knowledge of elementary mathematical and statistical techniques such as means, medians, modes and percentages are required, along with a bachelor's degree with experience in technical writing and Microsoft Office. A master's degree is a plus. For the Statistical Analyst position, considerable experience using SAS, Microsoft Office, and statistical analysis including mathematical techniques such as regression analysis, non-parametric methods, t and chi-square tests, and analysis of variance are required. Knowledge of SQL, health care, payer claims data, and experience with technical reporting is a plus. A bachelor's degree with coursework in statistics or mathematics is required, and a master's degree is preferred.
