The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for batching concrete to mix requirements, ordering raw materials, and scheduling mixer trucks to ensure timely delivery to production areas.  The Batch Plant Operator will also be responsible for general equipment operator maintenance, minor repairs, and inspection tasks utilizing checklists, instructions and small tools. 

Additionally, you will be cross-trained as a floater working on the pouring crew doing items such as operating the pouring bucket, pouring concrete, and running the loader.

This is a 1st shift position with a start time of 9:00AM

Responsibilities:


  • Batching of concrete accurately per the mix designs for each job

  • Works closely with plant operations to coordinate mixing schedules and delivery of concrete

  • Ordering of materials for batching process

  • Cleans, inspects, makes adjustments and performs minor repairs on batch plant equipment

  • Able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers

  • Running the loader

  • Pouring Concrete

  • Operating bucket for pouring 

You will possess the following qualifications:


  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent

  • One year experience in the precast/prestressed concrete industry

  • CDL A or CDL B valid drivers license preferred, but not required

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

  • Flexbility to be a floater working in various departments
