The role of the Material Planner is to fulfill the customer requirements by leveling the activities of the production floor through minimum stock targets and aligning logistics costs.  The main missions of the role are to:


  • Analyze, understand and anticipate the customer needs to ensure they are reflected in production activities

  • Analyze customer Misdeliveries Per Million (MPM) and propose improvement action plans which define and optimize data gathering and exchange

  • Asses the customer delivery program by managing alerts and tracking the transportation and delivery of pieces

  • Prepare the Sales and Operations Planning (PIC) on a monthly basis to obtain proper volume levels and optimize resources (i.e. workers on hand, machines, materials, and supplier readiness and capacity)

  • Implement and drive the Master Production Schedule (PDP) to confirm a level production plan and make production line provisions for all variations of the customer’s demand

  • Verify the consistency of the sequencer and procurements in alignment with the PDP

  • Guarantee data integrity in all systems, plans, and programs

  • Comply with purchasing objectives

  • Manage the pool and safety stock levels with direct packaging management

  • Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company



The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management and/or high school diploma plus equivalent experience/background

  • Basic computer knowledge preferably with Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • 3-5 years experience in materials / logistics within an automotive or industrial environment

  • Self-motivated and task orientated

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

  • Strong team player

  • Fluent in English
