This NES will support Eisenberg 10-3/4 (Med/Surg/Transplant PCU/ICU) and Eisenberg 10-2 (Transplant). Critical care experience and/or transplant experience is preferred but not required.
The nursing education specialist (NES) works collaboratively to assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities through a systems model for Department of Nursing staff including orientation, continuing education, and competency programs. Roles of the NES include learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for scientific inquiry, advocate for NPD specialty and partner for practice transitions. (001096)
Master's Degree in Nursing or a healthcare/education related degree required, Master's in Nursing preferred. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing also required. Minimum of three years of nursing practice experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
Education focus in Master's in Nursing program preferred. Experience in educational programming. Demonstrated teaching skills. Certification in nursing professional development is preferred.
License or certification
Current RN license by applicable State requirements.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,416.00, based on a full-time position.
Hours / Pay period
Monday - Friday days, evenings and weekends variable depending on customer needs - NOT NEGOTIABLE
