As the Roadway Construction Manager for our Harbor Bridge Construction Project in Corpus Christie, TX, you will plan, direct, and coordinate on-site construction activities on construction projects to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished.

  • Directs and coordinates activities of field personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
  • Ability to analyze & interpret job cost reports for decisions on crew sizes, equipment needs, & schedule matters
  • Monitor construction schedule, cost and quality to ensure project goals are met
  • Reviews status reports prepared by project management and modifies schedules or plans as required
  • Prepare a workable schedule to achieve project goals
  • Coordinate multi-phases and tasks of construction
  • Prepares project reports for management, client, or others
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
  • Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies
  • Set productive, consistent, and acceptable work example
  • Provide positive safety leadership to the project
  • Conduct performance reviews with subordinates
  • Understanding of QA-QC program & commitment to implementing into the work items
  • Point of contact for construction related topics with Owners Rep, Subcontractors & Suppliers
  • Assists Project Manager on meetings with Owners rep, Subs & Suppliers
  • Assists Project Manager on negotiating terms & conditions, costs, & schedule matters with Owners rep, Subs & suppliers
  • Knowledge and understanding of local union or prevailing wage rules
  • Ensures workers for each task are fully qualified to perform assigned duties
  • Maintains knowledge of Flatiron's company values and strategic plan
  • Support published corporate policies
  • Perform additional assignments per management's direction

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution and 15 years related experience in heavy Civil Construction is required
