Job Description:

HollyFrontier Refining and Marketing, located in Tulsa, OK, is looking for a Marketing Representative. This position will conduct marketing assignments for assigned petroleum product under general supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: (functions considered essential as defined by ADA)

Maintains and further develops current client base and pursues opportunities to expand client base with supervisor guidance.

Evaluates assigned petroleum product; monitors inventories; monitors daily assigned petroleum product pricing and implements pricing strategies

Collects and analyzes market research to verify price information and to identify other potential sales opportunities

Supports other company departments with assigned petroleum product transactions

Verifies all necessary documentation as it relates to the accounting department for the sale of petroleum products

Assists with crisis management in response to supply interruptions which may include production, loading, rack, or transportation issues.

Researches and resolves invoicing or loading issues relating to the sale of assigned petroleum product

Represents the company at industry functions and association meetings

May perform some or all of the following depending upon role:

Coordinate with Company regional/bulk sales marketers to achieve marketing goals

Coordinates with product development and refinery to produce specialized products for a client s specific needs

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience:

A minimum of one year of experience in the petroleum industry is required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience in assigned petroleum product is preferred.

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

A minimum of a Bachelor s degree in a business or related field is required.

PREFERRED EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

MBA with an undergraduate degree in chemistry or other technical related field.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Self-starter with drive and ability to achieve planned objectives. Ability to be creative, organized, and analytical, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others. Proper personal demeanor and professional outlook to create mutual respect with peers and a positive work environment. Intermediate ability to perform a variety of assignments as they relate to performing assigned petroleum product marketing and effectively executing sale opportunities and multi-tasking. Working knowledge of Microsoft products, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Advanced ability to read and write, and an ability to perform intermediate level mathematical calculations. Depending upon assignment, the ability to understand the chemical/technical characteristics of specialized petroleum products.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experience in assigned petroleum product is preferred.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITES:

None.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Office based with up to 75% travel by land and air required. Subject to varying weather and road conditions. Occasionally will be required to work in an industrial/petroleum refinery environment. Ability and willingness to relocate.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movement, reaching or grasping, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rates is essential and a valid State driver s license and proof of insurance required.
