Location: Danbury, Connecticut
This position is an analyst role forming part of the Cartus Unified Communications Team. The analyst's primary role will be in video support and planning. Experience with IT security environments such as B2B, VPN, IPS and Firewalls is recommended. The candidate will be required to demonstrate proficiency in IT Standards, Design and Audit.
-Technical - Must have hands on experience and working knowledge of video platforms, Skype for Business required. Experience with Cisco TelePresence and AVAYA implementations is preferred.
-Security Standards - Must be able to function efficiently in a compliance focused, formalized environment, and adhere to processes and standards encompassing video, telephony and infrastructure security.
-Teamwork - Must be able to function in a collaborative environment within and across IT/Telecom teams.
-Work Management - Candidate needs to work in an organized, formalized, and process-oriented manner with a focus on resolving issues. Must have the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
-Configure and troubleshoot enterprise level telephony, video and voicemail systems.
-Maintain system health across these multiple systems, leveraging network monitoring tools to provide performance feedback and recommend and implement changes to improve efficiency. Work with network teams to maintain video and VoIP QoS across the environment.
-Own product lifecycle management tracking EOS and EOL and ensuring firmware and service pack application to address performance and security issues
-Manage projects within and across the infrastructure.
-Adhere to change management and secure implementation processes.
-Work with vendors when planning and quoting projects-provide financial and resource requirements for implementing department initiatives.
-Prepare purchase requisitions and maintain maintenance records in accordance with department initiatives and infrastructure, and vendor best practices.
Minimum 4 years' experience and demonstrated knowledge in the following areas:
-Comprehensive knowledge of networking technologies including, signaling protocols like SIP, H.323, H.264, H.265, etc
-Familiarity with Exchange Unified Messaging and related administration
-Working knowledge of TDM and IP standards, infrastructures, and network requirements
-Practical experience with designing, implementing, and supporting video conferencing solutions-Lync or Skype for Business solutions preferred
-Aptitude to logically assess and troubleshoot hardware and software difficulties
-In-depth understanding of A/V traffic patterns and protocols in use
-Experience/knowledge of voice/video in the cloud
-Video end user support
-Experience with multi-site, enterprise implementations.
-Cisco/Polycom/Skype video conference platforms-enterprise to desktop with various cloud and 3rd party providers.
-Network management tools-utilize 3rd party analysis tools to perform analysis on the environment, troubleshoot production issues, (e.g. QoS, Call quality), and provide capacity planning.
This position requires a self-starter/self-learner that can adapt easily whether working independently or with a team. The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and strong judgment. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Telephony or related discipline or commensurate work experience.
